L. Duane Davis joined Truliant Financial Advisors in 2015. Duane has three decades of experience in wealth management. He started his career in 1983 with American Express as a financial planner. He then joined Wells Fargo in 1986 as a financial advisor in Charlotte, N.C., and moved to Winston-Salem, N.C., as an investment advisor in 1992. His primary responsibility has been to provide investment advice and direction to his clients, their families, local foundations and endowments.

Duane takes the time to understand the needs and objectives of credit union members. His toolbox has comprehensive solutions that address a variety of needs, including long-term investing, investment management, retirement and income planning, and life insurance.
Education and Experience
Duane has had an extensive career in financial services. He has appeared in numerous national publications including Fortune magazine and USA Today. In addition, he has been a guest speaker for local, regional and national TV and radio business shows and has spoken to various groups around the country about investing and the investment industry.
Duane opened the NASDAQ Stock Market on Friday, May 12, 2000. He was also honored to be part of the First Tennessee Bank delegation that closed the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on January 7, 2014, marking the 150th anniversary of First Tennessee Bank.
Duane has a bachelor’s degree in business from Morehouse College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and a Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®). He has served on numerous local non-profit boards that benefit the community. He has also been a mentor for at-risk youth and he founded a nonprofit organization that educates women, minorities and children about the importance of saving and investing.
